Generating Drones and Minecraft Today, January 7, 2025, marks a month since Open AI made Sora available to select public users, and once again, within minutes, worrying generative outputs reaffirmed my concerns. About a month ago, the Tri-State Area's news cycle constantly broadcast videos and complaints about drones in New Jersey. Short clips ranged from blurry, far-off shots of mysterious objects in the sky to clear videos of large drones accompanied by entertaining voiceovers from locals. Some residents even filmed themselves attempting to shoot the "drones" down. Naturally, my co-founder and I—friends since middle school—decided to responsibly test Sora by generating clips of UFOs in New Jersey. Without hesitation, Sora delivered, producing three options varying in quality and framing. What started as laughter and curiosity quickly turned into a more serious realization. We created realistic-looking drone videos and identical generations of Minecraft parkour clips. Both examples illustrate tools like Sora's vast potential and challenges in content creation.

Deepfake Detection and blockchain-based content verification solutions are essential in distinguishing real media from fabrications. Reports of confusing misattributed videos have already surfaced, and the potential for harm is vast if such tools fall into malicious hands.
